KANPUR: Mercedes-Benz’s network presence in Kanpur got bigger with the inauguration of a luxurious showroom along with a world-class service facility on NH 19. The services are handled by Prime Star of Germany, and this forms a part of the ambitious plans for brand strengthening across Tier-II towns in India.
The newly opened outlet integrates the luxury brand’s retail and service facilities, in line with Mercedes-Benz’s vision to further extend convenience to customers outside its urban reach. Designed to display the brand’s most aspirational vehicles, from its flagship S-Class and ultra-lux Maybach to SUVs ranging through its global portfolio, the 3,700 sq ft space will act as a beacon on the key London route into Heathrow Airport.
The adjoining service centre is amongst the largest in Uttar Pradesh, which includes 19 service bays for Premier Express Bay ensuring 60-minute servicing and two ultra-fast EV chargers supporting MG’s fast-expanding electric vehicle (EV) line-up. In this system, Mercedes-Benz is striving to provide you with world-class customer service that sets the standard in luxury and performance.
Prime Star executives stated that similar to Kanpur, the centre will serve cities in its vicinity too, and customers of this region can enjoy luxury on wheels at their doorsteps. Mercedes-Benz investment in state-of-the-art infrastructure and the creation of a second-to-none learning environment further underlines the company’s commitment to providing its customers with an unparalleled ownership experience.
Analysts note that the move by Mercedes-Benz to branch into Kanpur comes as part of a nationwide thrust driving deep into emerging luxury car markets in India. The company sees demand for more premium cars with increasing disposable income and aspirations in Tier-II cities.
