Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) is leading with 76 seats leaving Congress behind at 22 in Nagpur Municipal Corporation election 2026. The process of vote counting is still underway across wards. More clarity is expected as additional rounds are completed. 

For the Nagpur Municipal Corporation election, counting of votes began at 10 am on Friday. The polling was held on January 15 alongside elections to 28 other local bodies across Maharashtra. The election saw a voter turnout of 51 per cent on Thursday, January 15. Among those who casted their vote were Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari and RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat.
