EU-based company Airbus recently signed a deal with one of the leading business institutes of India, IIM Mumbai offering courses related to the aviation sector, industry expertise, and training the young talent of the country. As part of this agreement, IIM Mumbai will provide short-term courses in the field of aviation for both aspirants and working professionals, who will have the opportunity to benefit from the capabilities offered by Airbus Beyond programmed courses in the fields of Aviation Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Operations Excellence, Cargo Handling, Strategic Procurement, Business Analytics, and Digitization.
Airbus Industrie is a European aircraft-building group that was founded in 1970 to meet the demand for short-to-medium-range high-capacity commercial jetliners. Today, it is one of the two largest commercial aircraft manufacturers in the world, alongside the United States’ own Boeing Company, and often dominates the commercial jetliner market in terms of orders, deliveries, and annual revenue. Its headquarters are located in Toulouse, France.

It also demonstrates our dedication to developing talent and making a positive difference in the ever-evolving world of aerospace.
The agreement stipulates that IIM Mumbai would be responsible for organizing courses, onboarding students and infrastructure, as well as providing logistical support. On the other hand, Airbus would be responsible for providing trainers and training materials from its Airbus Beyond catalog in the form of short-term courses at the start of the agreement and co-curating long-term courses, and certifying their trainers at the end of the agreement. Airbus Beyond (abbreviated to “Airbus Beyond”) is an aeronautics capability-building programme developed by Airbus for professionals in the aerospace industry. The aim of the programme is to improve capability building at the executive and front-line levels.
The purpose of the program, according to Airbus, is to improve aviation capability at executive and frontline levels.
