PM Modi to present the first ever National Creators Award on 8th March 2024

The inaugural National Creators Awards will be presented by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday, March 8, 2024, at 10:30 AM at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi. These awards have been initiated in an effort to recognize the excellence and impact caused by social media creators across the domains of storytelling, social change advocacy, environmental sustainability, education, gaming, among others. The awards are envisioned as a launchpad to promote the usage of creativity to drive positive change in the society. 

With regard to the event, Prime Minister Narendra Modi took to his X handle and posted that he will be presenting the awards on 8th March at 10:30 AM. He further said that these awards are a celebration of innovation, creativity and the remarkable spirit of the creator’s community.

The Prime Minister also mentioned this in Mann Ki Baat saying that the voice of the youth creating content has become very effective today and to honor their talent these awards have been started in the country. 

The awards will be distributed across the various categories as follows: Best Creator For Social Change; The Disruptor of the Year; Celebrity Creator of the Year; Best Storyteller Award; Green Champion Award; Most Impactful Agri creator; Cultural Ambassador of The Year; International Creator award; Best Travel Creator Award; Swachhta Ambassador Award; The New India Champion Award; Tech Creator Award; Heritage Fashion Icon Award; Most Creative Creator (Male & Female); Best Creator in Food Category; Best Creator in Education Category; Best Creator in Gaming Category; Best Micro Creator; Best Nano Creator; Best Health and Fitness Creator.

In the first ever edition, the awards have received commendable responses from the public. In just the first round, more than 1.5 lakh nominations were received across the twenty categories. Followed by the voting round in which about 10 lakh votes were casted for the digital creators in the given various categories. Following this, finally, 23 winners were selected for the 20 categories and a separate 3 international creators. 

The list of the nominees not only included well known creators and celebrities but also emerging talents. Some of the names were Kangana Ranaut, Katrina Kaif, Sadhguru, Zakir Khan, Ranveer Allahbadia, Sushant Divigikr, Siddhesh Lokare, Komal Pandey, Siddharth Batra and many others.
