The Indian Team Management has issued a verbal warning to all its players considering Virat Kohli’s recent post on social media where he mentioned his Yo-Yo test score. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) was allegedly unhappy over the post and has informed all the players, including Kohli, not to share such confidential details in the public domain.

“Players have been informed verbally to avoid posting any confidential matter on social media platforms. They can post pictures while training, but posting a score leads to a breach of contract clause,” a BCCI official said, as reported by The Indian Express.

This statement was made in response to Kohli’s post on Instagram via a story that said, “The happiness of finishing the Yo-Yo test between the dreaded cones. 17.2 done.” The Indian batter set social media ablaze after acing the fitness test and finishing well above the acceptable mark of 16.5. Indian captain Rohit Sharma as well as vice-captain Hardik Pandya are the other players from the side who have completed the test. With most players already part of the setup, others returning after the T20 series with Ireland are set to join the camp today. Special emphasis is being given to the fitness of the players with the ODI World Cup lurking around the corner.

The test is being conducted as part of a six-day conditioning camp which began on Thursday ahead of the Asia Cup. The first match of the tournament is scheduled to be held on August 30 between Pakistan and Nepal with India beginning its campaign on September 2 against Pakistan.
