The ICC World Cup 2023 campaign, “It Takes One Day,” was introduced by Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan. Who better to kick off promotion for the ODI World Cup in India than the Bollywood Superstar? The film, which featured 85 content creators from throughout the nation, was organized by Meta, the official digital content licensee of the International Cricket Council (ICC).

Explaining how a day is all it takes to experience an emotional rollercoaster with the nine ‘Navarasa’ emotions: anguish, bravery, glory, joy, passion, power, pride, respect, and wonder, the campaign portrays the shared journey of both cricket players and fans.

Geoff Allardice, the CEO of the ICC, expressed his excitement at the campaign’s beginning and his eagerness for the World Cup to begin in Ahmedabad on October 5. “This campaign is a true celebration of One Day International cricket and builds a sense of anticipation of what to expect when the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 returns to India. The emotions, or Navarasa, are felt by fans and the players alike in One Day; this campaign brings to life that shared experience,” Allardice said.

Cricketers JP Duminy, Shubman Gill, Dinesh Karthik, Eoin Morgan, Muttiah Muralitharan, Jonty Rhodes, and Jemimah Rodrigues all contribute to the video’s magnificence. The film pans over several eras of the ICC World Cup event, capturing spectators in various states of emotion.

The ODI World Cup is set to commence on October 5 and will culminate on November 19. The opening and closing matches will take place at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Fans are eagerly anticipating Team India to replicate their 2011 performance and clinch the trophy on home soil.
