The First Year Junior College (FYJC) Admissions Special Round 3 is being held in Pune by the School Education and Sports Department. As part of the Centralised Admission Process (CAP), in-house admissions, and minority quota admissions. Tuesday will be the final day for new registrations, filling out and revising option forms, and document verification.

Students will be required to confirm their admission to the college to which they have been assigned between 10 a.m. on August 10 and 6 p.m. on August 12. Currently, 326 junior colleges which come under the regions of the Pune Municipal Corporation and Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation have admitted an overall of 80% enrolled students which is 71,535.

There are now 36,278 open seats in the third special round. The second special round alone saw 5,396 students confirm their enrollment, according to the most recent official data. There are still almost 45,000 (38.6%) open seats for the entire intake. More than 26,000 students selected the Commerce stream, while over 36,000 students selected the Science stream. The Higher Secondary Vocational Course (HSVC) attracted 1,720 students, while the Arts stream attracted over 7,000.

English is the preferred language among the students, with 57893 registering, followed by Marathi with 13,526. Additionally, a tiny percentage of students in Pune have selected Hindi (75) and Urdu (41) as their preferred languages of teaching.
