During a well-attended public assembly called ‘Praja Simha Garjana’ in front of Acharya Nagarjuna University in Guntur district on Sunday, Bode Ramachandra Yadav, a well-known entrepreneur and farmer from Punganur in Chittoor district, announced the formation of a new political party called Bharata Chaitanya Yuvajana Party (BCYP).

Prakash Ambedkar, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar’s grandson, and Suraj Mandal, grandson of B.P. Mandal (chairman of the Mandal Commission), were present.

In his address to the gathering, Mr. Ramachandra Yadav stated that the goal of his party was to free the people of Andhra Pradesh from the shackles of the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP), the TDP, and the Indian National Congress (INC), all of whom he attacked harshly.

He accused the YSRCP and TDP of abandoning welfare initiatives for the Backward Classes (BCs), Scheduled Castes (SCs), Scheduled Tribes (STs), and minorities.

Furthermore, he said that the YSRCP and TDP kept the BCs, SCs, STs, and minorities politically behind. The INC was never without internal strife, bankrupting the Telugu people’s self-esteem in Delhi.

“As the people are unable to break free from the shackles of these family parties, I am setting up the BCYP to bring about the much-needed change in AP politics with real socio-economic empowerment of the BCs, SCs, STs, and minorities as its underlying objective,” said Mr. Yadav.

Mr. Yadav stated that none of those parties could prevent the abolition of the unified state of AP, founded on the sacrifices of many great leaders. Furthermore, he said that the YSRCP administration was corrupt to the point that a significant percentage of the money from the liquor sector and industries went into the coffers of Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy.

The TDP, for its part, failed to develop the capital city and did little to enhance farmers’ lives or industrial growth.
